How I score

I use the same 50-point sheet beer judges use at competitions, then turn it into a score out of ten anyone can read at a glance.

Duck Score is the total divided by five, rounded to the nearest half point. A beer that scores 38 of 50 gets a Duck Score of 7.5. Every review also answers one plain question: would I buy it again?

Every tasting

  1. Buy it. From a store or bar in Monterrey, and note where.
  2. Film it. One take: the pour, the color, the first sip and the verdict.
  3. Score it. On the BJCP sheet, before reading anyone else's review.
  4. Publish it. The score, notes and video go on the beer's page.
  5. Share it. A short vertical clip for social media.
  6. Pin it. The beer's country fills in on the map.
